MIKE TURNER is the Resident Gardener at Ravine Gardens State Park and quite familiar with the park's mushrooms and park's mushroom growing patterns.

Mike will take you on a unique Mikecology tour concentrating on park growing patterns and areas where rhizomal beds and the logs have frequent interesting growth patterns.

JON MARTIN or Fungi Jon is a Nature lover, mushroom educator & photographer!

Participants will be walked through the process of mushroom identification, understand how to collect mushrooms from the wild for study or edibility, become familiarized with major groups of mushrooms, common genera & species, and mush, mush more. Learn simple photography skills! (Beware: there will be cheesy mushroom jokes.)

State Parks do not allow picking or removing mushrooms or plants under penalty of law. Everyone wants a picture and the park needs her shrooms.
